Smoothie with Peach, Nectarine, Kale, Banana, and Almonds

More kale, more healthy satisfaction!

Kale Smoothie

This recipe makes two cups at approximately 187.5 calories per serving.  Like my other smoothies, you could drink the whole all of it for a total of 375 calories to kick start your day, or divide the smoothie into two and share it as a snack.

Kale Smoothie

What you need

  • 1 ripe nectarine
  • 1 ripe peach
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup kale (I use 3 stalks)
  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • 5 almonds, cut lengthwise

Blend and enjoy!  Keep pulsing until the fruit and kale is small enough to blend smoothly, it should take about 2 minutes.

I cut up the almonds and placed them in a star on top of the drink as decoration.  Almonds are a strong nut packed with power, a hearty decor for the healthy drink of choice!

Kale Banana Nectarine Smoothie, with Love

Green smoothies are one of my favorite foods, why? because they make Kale taste really really good.

This recipe makes two cups, and at only 131 calories per serving this is enough for your breakfast (all of it for 262 calories), or split it in two and share as a snack!

What you need

  • 1 ripe nectarine
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup kale (I use 3 stalks)
  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • 2 ripe strawberries

Blend! Any blender will work just fine, 2 minutes of blend time should do the trick, pulse the blades at first to get the ingredients small enough to mix. If the kale pieces still look to big, blend again.  The drink should be a light green with purple and green freckles.

To top it off, I cut strawberries into hearts (cut the stem out in a V and chop the strawberry lengthwise). Use a knife to insert them into the drinks and flatten them against the glass.  This tactic is not only cute, but might still turn on those who do not prefer “freckled” beverages 😉

Pineapple Kale Smoothie

We all love smoothies.  Especially in the summer when the fruit is fresh and the air is hot!

Pineapple Kale Smoothie | itsaLisa.com

I made this one today after I got back from the gym and it was the perfect refreshment, a strong flavor and the texture of a frappucino… all for 100 calories a serving.

This recipe makes 2 glasses (2 servings)

What you need

  • 1 full cup of kale leaves (about 4 stalks)
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (or 1/2 of a fresh pineapple)
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup crushed ice

Combine ingredients and blend!  The more you blend, the more frothy it will become.

I added the pineapple stalk into the cup which can be used as a spoon. Or a serving suggestion for children to make a healthy smoothie more exciting.   …Enjoy!
