Traveling to Scandinavia? I was there this May 2016, and now I’m going to report back to you the best places to go and see. Follow along if you’re anything like me and enjoy spending your days on foot soaking in the sights and sounds and smells while tasting the local foods, finding the best coffee shops, and browsing the boutiques and secretly hoping the cities cool factor will ooze off on you, only if just a little.
A donut is a donut is a donut; some donuts, however, are better than others. And that’s why you need to go to CALIFORNIA DONUTS.
Aren’t they beautiful?!
I prefer California Donuts over any other donut because of what I like to call “The IN N OUT Factor.” You see, they may not be the best donuts in the world, BUT they are the BEST cheap option that’s also fast, convenient, open late, photographs well, and NEVER fails to deliver.
Merry Christmas, friends, family, readers, but most of all, YOU. I hope your year was merry and bright.
I think it’s safe to say that the holidays are a crazy time of year where work gets put on hold, we eat lots of food, spend lots of money, and we’re all the more jolly for it. All sentiments aside, Continue reading
Thanksgiving is going to the dogs.
This year was magical. I drove up to the mountains where my cousins live off the land, literally. Ok not literally, but they do have livestock and stuff. This year was especially nice because everyone’s getting married, but instead of reproducing they’re just getting pets! That means dogs galore, and a wide open range for them all to play on! My parents recently moved to Prescott, Arizona to retire. Apparently this a rather popular thing people do. It’s not like Prescott is a retirement community, but it has become a magnet for old souls with a love for culture, the outdoors, and an active community. It’s also way cheaper than California, so my parents get to live out their days for a much cheaper cost, which means more vacations! I fully support their decision, it looks like a lot of fun. When you live in a place as beautiful as this, summer comes and goes… but not really. So what do you do during the “off-season?” Whatever you want, because it’s still a great day.
This weekend we went Stand Up Paddle Boarding, and where’s a good place to try it? Huntington Harbour of course, mainly because if you get lost, you can probably ask a neighbor passing by on a Duffy for help and they’ll pull you in. It’s not like I would know from experience, but the thought crossed my mind a lot while our paddle speed was less than or equal to the speed of the current….
So go make the most of the weather, grab some friends, put on whatever you won’t mind getting wet ( you know – just in case ) and get out there! In case you were curious, I took these photos with a waterproof camera ( The Nikon Coolpix AW100 – love it ) and NOT my phone, because that would have been real dumb.
So here’s to another great adventure by the weekenders! What did you do with your #SundayFunday?
